Answer:

As we know the formula of kinetic energy (K.E)

K.E = 1/2mv²

where

K.E = 125 J

v = 5 m/s

Putting the value of the given things in the formula

125 = 1/2 × m × (5)²

m = 125/25×2

m= 5×2 = 10 kg

Answer = 10 kg

hope it helps ☺️

Answer :

Velocity of body = 5 m/s

Kinetic energy = 125 J

We have ti find mass of the body.

Kinetic energy of an object is the energy that object possesses due to its motion.

Formula : K = 1/2 mv²

  • m denotes mass
  • v denotes velocity
  • K denotes kinetic energy

It is a scalar quantity having only magnitude.

Kinetic energy of moving object can't be less than zero as speed can't be negative.

SI unit : J (joule)

By substituting the given values,

➝ K = 1/2 mv²

➝ 125 = 1/2 m(5)²

➝ 125 × 2 = 25m

➝ 250 = 25m

➝ m = 250/25

m = 10kg

Mass of the object is 10kg.

★ Potential energy of body of mass m at a height of h from the ground is given by

  • P = mgh

where g denotes acceleration due to gravity.
