Given :-

  • Water tank is in cylinder shape
  • Diameter of a cylinder is 140 cm
  • Height of a cylinder is 2m

To find :-

C.S.A of cylinder ,T.S.A , Volume

Formula to know:-

C.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh

T.S.A of cylinder = 2πr(r + h)

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

π = 22/7

Diameter = 2r (r = radius)

SOLUTION :-

First we will find C.S.A of cylinder

They given Diameter So, we have to convert into radius

Diameter = 2 × radius

140cm = 2 × radius

{radius} = \dfrac{140}{2}

{radius = 70cm}

Now, substituting in formula

C.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh

Height is in m We convert into cm

1m = 100cm

2m = 200cm

So, height = 200cm

 = 2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7}  \times 70cm \times 200cm

2 \times 22 \times 10cm \times 200cm

2 \times 22 \times 2000cm {}^{2}

44 \times 2000cm {}^{2}

88000cm {}^{2}

So, C S.A Of cylinder is 88,000cm²

_______________

T.S.A of cylinder = 2πr(r + h)

= 2 × 22/7 × 70cm ( 70cm + 200cm)

= 2× 22 × 10 ( 270cm)

= 440cm × 270cm

= 118800cm²

_______________

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × 70cm× 70cm × 200cm

= 22 × 10cm × 70cm × 200cm

= 22 × 700cm² × 200cm

= 22 × 1,40,000cm³

= 30,80,000cm³
