To Prove:

  • DE ║ BC

Proof:

According to property, Triangles having same base and equal areas always lie between two parallels.

Therefore, Δ DBC and Δ EBC lie on the common base BC between lines DE and BC.

Hence by this, DE ║ BC

Hence Proved !!
