D and E are the midpoints of sides AB and AC of triangle ABC. If the perimeter of triangle ABC = 35cm, find perimeter of triangle ADE.

the perimeter of triangle ADE is 35/2 m

∆ ABC = 35cm
means AB+ BC + CA = 35 cm
as, D & E are the midpoint of sides AB & AC
now, AD = AB/2 ; AE = AC/2
and, DE = BC/2
now, ∆ ADE = AB/2+ AC/2+ BC/2
= AB+AC+BC/2
= 35/2 = 17.5 cm
