Area of Triangle EBC will be 15 cm²

• In triangle ABC , D & E are points on AB & BC such that DE || BC .

• Also, area of triangle DBC = 15

cm²

• consider the theorm,

Triangles with same base ( or equal base ) & lies within same parallels are equal in area.

•In triangle DBC & triangle EBC

• BC = BC i.e. bases of two triangles is common

•DE || BC i.e. two triangles lie within same parallels

•So by above stated theorm

Ar. DBC = Ar. EBC

•Since , Ar DBC = 15 cm²

•Ar. EBC = 15 cm²

•Area of Triangle EBC will be 15 cm²
