Because wood produce solid fuels and produces a lot of heat on burning. as wood is used as a stove to cook food in most of the rural areas

Coal also produce heat when we run them against each other. It was also used in the running of trains.

Petrol is also a fuel as we undergoes the daily examples of filling fuel in our vehicles.
