A by-product by contrast is a joint product of relatively minor economic value. A waste product may become a by-product, joint product or resource through an invention that raises a waste product's value above zero.

The three diseases caused by waste materials thrown in open areas are :-

1. Diarrhoea(From sewage waste)

2. Malaria and Dengue( Carriers of these diseases live near waste)

3. Lung infections, parasitic infections, and also AIDS.
