(i) The trees in the tropical desert have stunted growth as they does not receives ample amount of rainfall for tree growth and vegetation. Explanation: The trees adapt to the various conditions in the tropical desert to cope with it.

(ii) In India, over the past few years, there has been a gradual increase in the forest covered region. It is because there has been significant rise in the amount of air pollution, where these harmful gases are released from the industries, factories, vehicles and other uses.

(iii) This is because, the weather is hot and dry during March and April. Due to high temperature the leaves get dried up and the lack of moisture causes the trees to shed their leaves for about 6-8 weeks during March and April.
