d) Convert the following statement into an equation. 1st one is done by me.
i) Twice a number is increased by 10 gives 18.
Let the number be x, then
2x + 10 = 18
ii) 13 is taken away from 4 times a number gives -21.
iii) Difference between a number and 4 gives 7.

v) Half of the sum of a number and 8 is increased by 10 gives 70.
vi) One-third of the difference between a number and 9 is decreased by 5 gives 14.
vii) Thrice a number taken away from 42 gives 14.
