and pen<pencil & eraser>pencil

so pen<pencil<eraser

hence the least one will be pen which is 12

68. to get this answer we have to use each of the options given here.

a. pen cost is 12. and we know pen<pencil so pencil cost can't be 12.

b. if pencil cost is 13 then eraser cost = 41-(12+13)=16 which is divisible by 4 hence cost of pencil can't be 13.

c. if pencil cost is 14 then eraser cost = 41-(12+14)= 15 which is not divisible by 4 and also pen<pencil<eraser is satisfied. so pencil cost can be 14.

d. if pencil cost is 15 then eraser cost = 41-(12+15) = 14 which is not divisible by 4 but pen<pencil<eraser is not satisfied. so 15 can't be cost of pencil.

So right answer is C
