Distinguish between step-up and step-down transformers:
1) Transformer is the electrical device in which the electric signal is transferred from one circuit to the another to alter the quantity of the current passing in the circuit.
2) There are the two types of the transformer:
Step-up transformer
Step-down transformer
3) Step- Up transformer:
In the step up transformer the output current is much more than the input current. This transformer is used to increase the magnitude of the current in the circuit.
4) Step-Down Transformer:
In the step down transformer the output current is less than the input current. This transformer is used to decrease the magnitude of the current in the circuit.
