Answer:

a. An ionic bond is formed as a result of the electrostatic attraction between the positive and negative ions formed by the transfer of electrons from one atom/group to another.

Examples: NaCl,KBr,etc.

b. A covalent bond is formed by equal sharing of electrons from both the participating atoms. The pair of electrons participating in this type of bonding is called shared pair or bonding pair. The covalent bonds are also termed as molecular bonds.Example : Two hydrogen atoms share their electrons with each other to form H2 molecules . One covalent bond is formed between two hydrogen atoms by sharing of two electrons.

c. Co-ordinate bond is a type of alternate covalent bond that is formed by sharing of electron pair from a single atom. Both shared electrons are donated by the same atom. It is also called dative bond or dipolar bond.
