area of small triangle = bh/2

area of large triange= bh/2

                                  = 5 x 2 /2

                                   = 5 m^2

Area of shaded portion = Area of full triangle -( Area of small triangle+area    .                                          of large triange)

                                       = 40-(3+5)

                                       = 32m^2
