Answer:

So, plants and their leaves look green because the “special pair” of chlorophyll molecules uses the red end of the visible light spectrum to power reactions inside each cell. The unused green light is reflected from the leaf and we see that light

The leaf is made of millions of tiny cells. Each tiny cell has a semi fluid matrix called as the cytoplasm which has numerous structures called as cell organelles embedded in it.These cell organelles work together in an integrated manner to sustain life.

One such organelle is called as chloroplasts.

Chloroplasts have coin shaped structures inside them ,called as thylakoids which have a pigment called as chlorophyll .Now this is what which gives the leaf ,its color as green.

Now you may wonder there are many leaves which aren't green. For example ,The Rheo leaf.

In such cases ,there are organelles termed as plastids in the cells which have pigments other than chlorophyll which impart them their respective color.Remember chlorophyll imparts only green color.
