D is a green crystalline solid that dissolved in water to give a very pale green solution. Addition of sodium hydroxide solution to a solution of D produces a green precipitate, E, which turns orange brown around the top after standing in air. Addition of dilute hydrochloric acid and barium chloride solution to a solution of D gives a white precipitate, F.

A) state the names of D, E and F
B) write equations for the reactions producing E and F

A). The chemical D is  FeSO4 · 7H2O which is green crystalline solid . When dissolved in water it gives a very pale green solution .

     The chemical E is Fe(OH)3 which is reddish brown in colour .

      The chemical F is BaSO4 which is white in colour .

B).  FeSO4*7H2O + NaOH + H2O2 -----> Fe(OH)3 + Na2SO4 + H2O

     FeSO4 + HCl + BaCl2 -------> BaSO4 + FeCl3 + H2
