D is the mid-point of side BC of ∆ABC and E is the mid-point of BD. If O is the mid-point of AE, then prove that:

ar(∆BOE) = 1/8 ar(∆ABC).

⛄ We know that a median divides a triangle into two triangles of equal areas...

Therefore,

ar (BOE) = 1/2 ar (∆ABE),

[Since, BO is a median]

= 1/2 × 1/2 ar (∆ABD),

[Since AE is a median]

= 1/2 × 1/2 × 1/2 ar (∆ABC),

= 1/8 ar (ABC)...

HENCE PROVED!!!...。◕‿◕。
