solution X is saturated as all salt is dissolved making it saturated and solution Y is unsaturated as salt crystals can still be see making the solution unsaturated.

if solution Y is heated it will turn into saturated solution from an unsaturated one as on heating the salt i.e. solute will get easily dissolved in the solution.
