Explanation:

We have 4 liquids given in the Question and we have to identify the one which is immiscible in water.

So, let's check out the options:

  • Vinegar - Vinegar is used in our homes and is a weak acid known as acetic acid. It can easily dissolve in water.
  • Glycerin - Glycerin is a clear and colourless fluid often used in cosmetics. Due to the presence of 3 hydroxyl groups, it is also miscible in water.
  • Lemon juice - Lemon juice is extracted from lemons which is a citric food and it contains citric acid. It is also a weak acid and can easily dissolve in water.

✏️ Remember Tasty & cool lemonades that your mother gives you during the summer when you come home after playing in the afternoon. The lemonade is the solution of Lemon juice and water.

  • Kerosene - Kerosene is a petroleum product and is obtained as a fuel (oil). It is used in oil lamps and lanterns. It forms a separate layer when dissolved in water because it is hydrophobic in nature.

So, the correct option is:

 \large{ \boxed{ \bf{ \purple{Kerosene(Option \: D)}}}}

And we are done !!
