Trees give shade for the benefit of others, while they themselves face the glare of the sun and endure the heat. They live for others,
They provide fruits and shelter to us. They also absorb the carbon-di-oxide and give oxygen for the benefit of human beings. In this
way, they try to lessen the air pollution helpful for the living beings. If they are in abundance then they bring proper rain for the
farmers who grow crops to feed the humanity. Despite all the benefits it proves that the trees are being cut ruthlessly. This has led
India towards flash floods and severe droughts in some regions. If we want to save humanity and other species of the world then we
should plant trees. This will revive the earth.

Answer (i) :
Trees have always been living things like us , but much more useful to the organisms in their surroundings compared to us humans . Trees , though dont have the ability to speak , they develope a loud voice through their actions . The actions or ways in which trees are useful to others are :
(a) They provide oxygen , without which there would be no life on Earth .
(b) They also help us by absorbing or inhaling carbon dioxide , which is a gas that causes global warming .
(c) It gives us fruits ( food ) , shelter and a lot more useful products , that we are utilizing in our daily life .
(d) They prevent soil erosion , which causes the death of several microscopic organisms .
Answer (ii) :
The trees live for others . We say this because the air they let out is used by us , the air they breathe in will reduce global warming , they provide food and shelter to all organisms and in short all of their parts are being utilized in one way or another .
Answer (iii) :
When trees are in abundance , the following are some of the ways in which we get benefitted :
(a) When a lot of trees grow in an area they decrease the carbon dioxide levels of that area which will in turn drastically decrease the risks of global warming in that area .
(b) The gas they exhale - oxygen , is a gas which is needed by all the organisms , without which there will be no chance of survival of living beings .
(c) The food and water resources in area will increase if that area is abundant with trees . The more the trees in an area , the more rain it will get due to which we say areas with a large number of trees will never face a scarcity of water .
Answer (iv) :
To save the world we should plant more trees , so that the most dangerous environmental harm - global warming is not caused due to the trees absorbing all the global warming causing gas - carbon dioxide .
Answer (v) :
A suitable title for this passage can be - " Trees , a treasure in disguise " .
