1. That warmth is caused by a force called friction. When objects like yourhands come in contact and move against each other, they produce friction. Rub them together and there's friction. The rougher the surfaces that are rubbing together, the more friction is produced.

2. Temperature is a physical quantity expressing hot and cold. It is measured with a thermometer calibrated in one or more temperature scales. The most commonly used scales are the Celsius scale, Fahrenheit scale, and Kelvin scale.

3. It is convenient to use digital thermometer as the mercury ones are difficult to dispose.

4. When a mercury thermometer breaks, liquid mercury may spill out and can separate into small beads and can roll some distance away. Wear a rubber or plastic gloves clean up the mercury beads and broken glass. Best way to collect up the spilled mercury beads is to use an empty plastic bottle to suck them up.

5. Celsius temperature scale also called centigrade temperature scale, is thescale based on 0 for the freezing point of water and 100 for the boiling point of water.Kelvin temperature scale is the base unit of thermodynamic temperature measurement in the International System (SI) of measurement.
