Solution

Given

=> 2( 3x + 1 ) - 7 = 2( 6x - 7 )

After simplify we get

=> 6x + 2 - 7 = 12x - 14

=> 6x - 5 = 12x - 14

=> 6x - 12x = -14 + 5

=> -6x = - 9

=> 6x = 9

=> x = 9/6

=> x = 3/2

Check

=> 2( 3x + 1 ) - 7 = 2( 6x - 7 )

=> 6x + 2 - 7 = 12x - 14

Now Put the value of x=3/2, We get

=> 6×(3/2) + 2 - 7 = 12×(3/2) - 14

=> 3 × 3 + 2 - 7 = 6 × 3 - 14

=> 9 + 2 - 7 = 18 - 14

=> 9 - 5 = 4

=> 4 = 4

Hence , LHS = RHS

Answer:

3/2 = x

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we will open the brackets. When we do this, the number outside the brackets gets multiplied with each number inside the brackets.

2 (3x + 1) - 7 = 2 (6x - 7)

= 2 × 3x + 2 × 1 - 7 = 2 × 6x - 2 × 7

= 6x + 2 - 7 = 12x - 14

Then we will solve the equation.

6x - 5 = 12x - 14

= (-5) + 14 = 12x - 6

= 9 = 6x

= 9/6 = x

= 3/2 = x

Hope it helps.
