d. Suppose two forces of 10 N and 15 N are
acting on a body. Calculate the magnitude of
the net force in the following cases:
i. Forces acting in the same direction
ii. Forces acting in opposite directions
iii. What will be the direction of the force in
each case?

Explanation:
if you apply the both the forces in same direction the net resultant forces will lead the body to accelerate ;lets say the body have mass *m*
so it will have and acceleration by the formula f=ma
net force=10+15=25
f=ma
25=ma
a=25/m
and if the net forces are on opposite direction then
f=15–10 (since the higher magnitude will produce the acceleration)
so f=5
5=ma
a=5/m
and if the both forces acts on the top part of the mass it will be balanced by the normal reaction force
15+10+mg=N (mg also acting downwards)
if one force is up and one is down so it will be
15–10+mg=N
