Aim:

To test whether gram flour contain protein or not

Materials Required

gram flour, water , beaker, test tube , Copper sulphate solution, Caustic Soda

Procedure

First take a small quantity of a gram flour.Then in clean beaker add 10 drops of water in gram flour...with test tube.Then shake it well.

Now add two drops of solution of copper sulphate and ten drops of solution of caustic soda (test tube) in it..

shake it well and let the test tube stand for few minutes.

Observation

We can se violet color

Result

Violet color indicates the presence of protein in it.....
