your question:

The initial and final velocities of a uniformly accelerated body are 20 ms and

60 ms. What is the average velocity?

 \large \tt{solution}

 \large  \rm{  \orange{given }}

 \rm{initial \: velocity(u) = 20  \frac{m}{s} }

\rm{final \: velocity(v) = 60 \frac{m}{s} }

Now we know that,

the formula for average velocity is:

 \large \rm v_{av} = \frac{  (u + v)}{2}

now by putting the values :

we get,

 \large \rm v_{av}  =  \frac{20 + 60}{2}  =  \frac{80}{2}  = 40

so average velocity is:

 \large \tt{40 \frac{m}{s} }

 \rm \large { \orange{More  \: to \:  \:  know:}}

\large \rm v_{av} = \frac{  (u + v)}{2}

 \rm \large{ v_{av} =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}}
