Communication technologies have been advancing at a rapid pace. At the touch of a button, we have access instantaneously to friends, acquaintances and loved ones in that order. We can just talk, share news and important tidbits about our lives.
It can form virtual relationships, it can bring like minded folk together in an online group, it can share photos, videos etc. of places and experiences you may never be able to visit or do.
As for events, Facebook allows you to create an event invitation at no cost for any kind of event such as birthdays parties, retirement celebration, graduations, or even public family gatherings, business meetings or private groups.
Owing to its inefficiency, people were discouraged from communication and their relationships could be hindered. However, now, with modern technology, everybody's just one click away, so we can still talk to people who are not in close proximity, enabling us to foster strong bonds and thus, bringing us closer together.
