I believe the most reasonable definition would be any hunting where the purpose of the hunt does not reasonably align with wildlife resource management and the animal hunted is not for a reasonable purpose (food, pelt, eradication). Also, I personally believe that any animal hunted should (if possible) have its meat harvested - if you don’t like it, then give it to a charity.
