the ionisation energy is less for atoms of larger size but the atomic size increase down a group, the element Sulphur should have small ionisation energy than oxygen

b) Li : 1s2 2s1 Be : 1s2 2s2

since valence electron are 1 & 2 respectively, these elements form +1 & +2 ions respectively losing one & two electrons
