Their daily earnings are ₹400 and ₹500

Given data :

Earning ratio = 4:5

Expense ratio = 7:9

Both's savings = ₹50

So,

Their earnings = 4x and 5x (let x = variable)

Their expenses = 7y and 9y (let y = variable)

So, first person's savings = 4x - 7y

Second person's savings = 5x - 9y

Now,

4x-7y = 50 ....(1)

5x-9y = 50 ....(2)

Now,

4x-7y = 5x -9y

9y-7y = 5x - 4x

2y = x

x = 2y

Now,putting the value of x into (1) we get,

4×(2y)-7y = 50

8y -7y = 50

y = 50

Now,

x = 2y

x = 2×50

x = 100

So, first person's earnings = 4×100 = ₹400 (answer)

Second person's earnings = 5×100 = ₹500 (answer)
