Solution:

5 - 10               15               20                              75

Median = 10  +  5 * ( 40 - 20)/20 = 15

Or

Median  =   15  +  5* ( 40 - 40)/10  =  15

Same as from graph  Median = 15  ( intersection of more than & less than ogive)

Less than ogive

The points with the upper limits of the class are plotted on x axis  and the corresponding less than cumulative frequencies on y axis.
