Dear Diary:
I am so happy that my son, who was so scared of flying has finally learnt to fly. He had fear of jumping from the high sea ledge to fly; his brother and sister had already made their first flight. Everyone was waiting for him to jump and fly and join them on the plateau. He kept sitting on the ledge feeling hungry. I began fearing he would die there, either of hunger or fall prey to a predator.
Worried as I was, I conceived of a plan and executed it. I broke a piece of meat from a fish and flew up to the ledge. But I did not go very close to him. I kept hovering a little away from the ledge. My son, in an attempt to take food from me, fell from the ledge; this fall compelled him to open his wings. And soon he was flying. I am thankful to God for putting courage in his heart.
