Given:

• Sum of zeroes = 1/4

• product of zeroes = -1

To find:

• Quadratic polynomial .

Solution :

• As we know that :

Quadratic polynomial

=> - ( sum of Zeroes )x + product of zeroes =0

put the given values ,

• P(x) = x² - ( 1/4 )x + (-1)=0

• P(x) = (4x²-x-4)/4=0

• P(x) = 4x² - x - 4 = 0

Hence, the 4x² - x - 4 is the quadratic polynomial whose sum of Zeroes is 1/4 and product of zeroes is -1.

Answer :-

  • x²- 1/4x - 1

Given :-

  • A quadratic polynomial whose sum and product of its zeroes are 1/4 and -1 respectively.

To Find :-

  • The quadratic polynomial.

Solution :-

As we know that

quadratic polynomial = - (sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes

Here,

  • sum of zeroes = 1/4
  • product of zeroes = -1

Put the values in the formula

x² - (1/4)x + (-1)

- 1/4x - 1

Hence, the quadratic polynomial is - 1/4x - 1
