1. During the second round of the conference, Dr. BR ambedkar, who incorporated the dalits into the depressed class association in 1930, clashed with mahatma gandhi by demanding separate dalit electorates.

2. When Dr. Ambedkar 's demand was granted by the British government, gandhiji started a fast to death.

3. Gandhiji claimed that separate dalit electorates would delay the cycle of their inclusion in society.

4. In the end, Dr. Ambedkar accepted the gandhiji position and the outcome of the September 1932 poona pact.

5. This gave reversed seats in regional and central legislative councils to the deprived classes but they had to be voted in by the general electorate.
