ACCORDING TO THE DALTON LAW OF PARTIAL PRESSURE -THE TOTAL PRESSURE EXERTED BY A MIXTURE OF GASES IS EQUAL TO THE SUM OF PARTIAL PRESSURE OF ALL THE INDIVIDUAL GASES PRESENT IN THE CONTAINER . THE GASES ARE ASSUMED TO BE IDEAL.
P*(TOTAL)=P1+P2+P3+.....+Pn
WHERE P1,P2,andPn ARE PARTIAL PRESSURE OF THE RESPECTIVE GASES.SINCE EACH GAS BEHAVE INDEPENDENTLY, PARTIAL PRESSURE CAN BE CALCULATED BY USING IDEAL GAS LAW (PV=nRT) IF WE KNOW MOLES OF GAS,TOTAL VOLUME OF CONTAINER and TEMPERATURE.

Dalton's law of partial pressures states that the total pressure exerted by a mixture of gases is the sum of partial pressure of each individual gas present. Each gas is assumed to be an ideal gas.
