The answer to this question is:

Standard of living and environmental degradation are parallel to each other. None leave each other's side. As we climb to heights of luxury, the more we tend to provide immense pain to mother earth. With high standards, come high lures of show-off. People start to spend on items like expensive leather bags, exclusive wood work etc. that directly harms the environment. People learn to snatch things from nature but forget to replenish it, which leads to environmental havoc and deforestation. Killing innocent organisms to satiate your luring's of showing-off luxury is against the law of environment. Animals have equal rights as human beings to survive without possessing them threat of using them for your own "GOOD CAUSE." This will not only affect the environment but us as well when in future we will inhale the smoke caused by factories created by us and there would be no mother nature to protect us at that time.
