When I first watched the show I was team Stefan. Later as the show progressed I began to really dislike Stefan with a passion because he was very hypocritical. But there is no way I would ever date a Damon. Damon was overprotective and abusive. When he gets out of a relationship with Elena the first thing he decides to do is sleep with another girl. That overprotective, controlling, deciding my decision for me is not my cup of tea. Idc how charming or funny the person is, I like to think with my head. I tolerated Damon during the show, but he made me roll my eyes and I never expected anything good from him. That didn’t changed in the entire 8 seasons. I know people like to say he changed but I never saw it. The entire 8 seasons were people cleaning up his mess. Damon complains about his life, when he has the power to fix it, but he just doesn’t want to. Those are 4 things I could never have as a partner. Overprotective, controlling, whining, emotionally and physically abusive. Damon is not emotionally stable for a relationship, and I don’t know why you would want that. As a young girl, you might want a bad boy but in real life they are nothing but trouble. The sad part is you’re not dating a Damon you’re raising a little boy trapped in a grown man’s body.
