Disadvantages of dams are→

a) Social problems→ 1) Many tribals and peasants are displaced and rendered homeless...

2) They do not get adequate compensation or rehabilisation...

b) Environmental problems→ 1) Deforestation.

2) Loss of biodiversity..

3) Disturb ecological balance..

c) Economic problems..→ 1) Huge amount of public money is used..

2) No proportionate benefit to people..

3) No equitable distribution of water.....
