1 - 1/3 = 3/3 - 1/3 = 2/3

Answer: 2/3 of the eggs were used to make omelette.

anmolkhushi: please give me the process
TooFree: 1/3 is boiled. So the remainder is 2/3

Answer:

  \huge \underline \bold {Given}: -

Dan bought two dozen eggs. he boiled 1/3rd of the eggs and remaining eggs were used to make omelette. what fraction of eggs did he use to make omelette.

 \huge \underline \bold {Required \: Answer} : -

1 dozen = 12

2 dozens = 12 X 2 = 24

No of eggs boiled = 1/3 of 24 = 8

No of eggs used for omelet = 24 ā€“ 8 = 16

So the required fraction = 16/24 = 2/3

Hope it helps!!
