Answer:

Let the number of smarties is x,

⇒ The number of cola bottles = 3 × number of smarties = 3 x

⇒ The number of marshmallows = 2 × number of cola bottles = 6x

Thus, the total number of sweets in the bag = x + 3x + 6x = 10 x

That is, Out of total sweets 1/10 parts in the bag = x + 3 X + 6X =10 X

The proportion of smarties in the bag = x/10x = 1/10

Answer:

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

3 times more than 1 is 3, so Smarties = 1 and Cola Bottles = 3

Twice as many than 1 is 2, so Marshmallows = 2.

1 Smarties : 3 Cola Bottles : 2 Marshmallows

1 + 3 + 2 = 6

Therefore, the answer is 1/6 of the bag are smarties. not 1/10 which is what I've been seeing on this site.
