Daniela fills a container with soil by using a bowl. The bowl holds 3/4 cup of soil. Daniela uses 11 full bowls of soil to fill the container. How many cups of soil does the container hold? (write your answer as a mixed number)

1 bowl contains = (3/4)th of cup of soil.

&

1 container contains = 11 full bowls of soil.

So by capacity comparison, we can say that container holds more than a cup and a cup holds more than a bowl.

Now substitute the capacity of 1 bowl in the equation containing the container.

Then you get one container contains (11×3/4 = 33/4 = 8 1/4) cups of soil.
