GIVEN

  • Length of the rectangular rose garden = 8 m

  • Breadth of the rectangular rose garden = 10 m

  • Area of one bag of fertilizer = 16 m²

TO FIND

  • The number of bags required to cover the entire garden

SOLUTION

  • The total number of tiles with the given dimension will cover the entire area of the floor.

Hence,

Let's find the area of the rectangle rose garden

  • Area = (length × breadth) square unit

Area = (8 × 10) m²

→ Area = 80 m²

Area of each bag of fertilizer already given

Using Formula :-

 \large \boxed{ \boxed{ \bf{Number  \: of \: bags \: required=  \dfrac{Area \: of \: the \: garden}{Area \: of \: each  \: bag} }}}

Number of bags required = 80/16

Number of bags required = 5

ANSWER

  • Danny will need 5 bags to cover the entire garden
