Answer:

Statement is illogical and having no solution.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

2x + 3y = 7  .....(1)

4x + 6y = 12 ....(2)

From equation (1)

 2x = 7 - 3y

dividing by 2 on both sides we get

    x = 7/2 - 3y/2

Putting the value of x in equation (2) we get

    4(7/2 - 3y/2) + 6y = 12

⇒     4(7 - 3y)/2 + 6y = 12

⇒        2(7 - 3y) + 6y = 12

⇒          14 - 6y + 6y = 12

⇒                          14 = 12

which is impossible Actually

According to first condition

2x + 3y = 7    .....(1)

According to second condition

4x + 6y = 12 ....(2)

Dividing by 2 on both sides we get

2x + 3y = 6 .....(2)

NOTE

The equation (1) and (2) are both have left hand side equal but one equal to 7 and other 6 which illogical.
