There was modernization and technological advancement in the country. Modern education, transport facilities, etc were introduced for the betterment of the country. Due to these developments, the global status of the colonialised countries improved. There was expansion of the land which helped in full utilisation of land. Colonialism also helped to develop a feeling of nationalism in the people which helped the country to remain united.
The darker side is reflected by-
Colonial rule to the destruction of culture and land of the country. The cultural norms and values were destructed. There was too much of economic exploitation which led economic crisis in the country. The morale of the people was completely destroyed since they were considered inferior.
