Step-by-step explanation:

2x + y = 8 -(i)

putting y =0 in (i) ,

so 2x =8

x= 4 ,

putting x =0 in (i) ,

so y = 8 ,

now , (x,y) for (i) = (0,8) and (4,0)

put these coordinates on graph and join them to have a line

and x+y=4 -(ii)

putting y =0 in (ii) ,

so x =4 ,

putting x =0 in (ii) ,

y =0

now , (x,y) for (ii) = (4,0) and (0,4)

put these coordinates again on graph and join them to have another line

if both constructed lines intersect , then the coordinates of that point is answer
