Darwin’s natural selection theory:

• Option “A” is correct i.e. discontinuous variation.

• Darwin in his natural selection theory did not believe in any role of discontinuous variation.

• Darwin in his 'natural selection theory' did not consider any role of discontinuous variation in organic evolution. Rendering to this theory, organic evolution is a continuous process. The genus of the horse, Equus arose in North America in the Pleistocene epoch and drifted into Eurasia and Africa, where it gave rise to zebras and as well as the contemporary horse.
