molecular mass of C2H4O= 12*2+1*4+16=44g

amount of acetaldehyde= 44*2= 88g

no. of molecules of acetaldehyde= no of moles * avogadro no

=2* 6.022*10^23

=12.044*10^23 molecules

Answer:

A. 4 mol, B. 8 mol, C. 2 mol,  D. 12.044 x 1023 molecules.

Explanation:

Since, the formula for acetaldehyde is CH3CHO.

And in the 1 mole of this acetaldehyde we see that 2 moles of carbon, 4 moles of hydrogen and 1 mole of oxygen.

Now, in the question we have 2 moles of acetaldehyde so, for two moles of acetaldehyde all of the components will be double.

Hence, the number of moles of carbon will be:-

= 4 mole.

Number of moles of hydrogen will be:-

= 8 mole.

Number of moles of oxygen will be = 2 mole.

We know that the molecular mass of C2H4O= 12*2+1*4+16=44g.

Hence the amount of acetaldehyde will be= 44*2= 88g .

So, the number of molecules of acetaldehyde will be number of moles multiplied by Avogadro number.

=2* 6.022*10^23 .

=12.044*10^23 molecules.

So, the number of molecules of acetaldehyde is 12.044 x 10^23 molecules.
