Let the number given to students of discipline be 'x'
Let the number given to students of politeness be 'y'
Let the number given to students of punctuality be 'z'
Total number of prizes = 15
i.e x+y+z = 15 ---------------(1)
Given z = 4y/5-------------(2)
Substitute z in (1)
=> x + y + 4y/5 = 15 ----------(3)
Given y = 5x/6 -------------(4)
Substitute y in (3)
=> x + 5x/6 + {4(5x/6)}/5 = 15
=> x + 5x/6 + 20x/30 = 15
=> x + 5x/6 + 2x/3 = 15
=> (6x+5x+4x)/6 = 15
=> 15x/6 = 15
=> 15x = 90
=> x = 90/15
=> x = 6
Substitute the value of x in (4)
=> y = (5*6)/6
=> y = 5
Substitute the value of y in (2)
=> z = (4*5)/5
=> z = 4
Answer
6 prizes are for students of discipline
5 prizes are for students of politeness
4 prizes are for students of punctuality
Hope it helps
