The given pie chart shows the game played by 1500 students of a school. Find the ratio of the students who play Hockey to those who play Badminton.

Answer :

Cricket = Badminton = 120°   [ vertically opposite angles ]

Hockey = 20°  

[ as Hockey+Football+Badminton = 180° (linear pair) ]

If badminton = 120°, Football = 40°

So,

Hockey = 180° - (120° + 40°) = 180° - 160° = 20°

Hockey + Football = Tennis (vertically opposite angles)
