Given: Each frame requires 3/4 feet of wood.

To find: How many picture frames has he built?

Solution:

  • As we have given that frame requires 3/4 feet of wood to complete. So according to the question 6 foot is already used to make the frames.
  • Now, the number of frames which are made out of the 6 feet wood which is already used are:
  • Let the number of frames made be 'a', so:

           3/4 x (a) = 6

           a = (6 x 4)/3

           a = 8

  • So out of 6 feet wood he has completed 8 frames yet, and has to finish 8 more frames out of the remaining 6 feet of the wood.

Answer:

                8 picture frames has he built.
