Day 68,

I am the beginning of sorrow and the end of sickness. You cannot express happiness without me yet I am in the midst of crosses. I am always in risk yet never in danger. You may find me in the sun, but I am never out of darkness.

I prefer a perfect explanation. No spam or irrelevant answers. I'm reciting it again I'll not hesitate to report your unwanted answers

The letter 'S'

Explanation:

I am the beginning of sorrow - The first letter of the word sorrow is s

The end of sickness - The last letter of sickness is s.

You cannot express happiness without me - Here, the word happiness without 's' would be meaningless.

I am in the midst of crosses - The middle letter of the word 'crosses' is 's'

I am always in risk - The word 'risk' consists of letter 's'.

Never in danger - There is no 's' in the word 'danger'.

You may find me in the sun - The letter 'sun' consists of the letter 's' in the beginning.

I am never out of darkness - Here too, the word darkness would be meaningless without 's'
