A quick FYI :

A leap year occurs due to an increment of one day in the month of February. This increment of one day is due to the revolution of Earth around sun. The Earth completes it's one revolution in 365.26 days. The 0.26, or approximately considered as 0.25 days, adds every fourth year to produce one extra day.

(0.25)*4 = 1.0 day

This extra day is what causes a Leap Year.
